PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Norm® Dual Shades offer the convenience of two shades in one sleek window treatment. Designed with one shade positioned behind another, this dual-layer system gives you greater control over light, privacy, glare, and view-through throughout the day. With Norm Dual Shades, you can pair different fabric types to create the perfect balance for your space. Use a softer fabric during the day to filter sunlight and preserve a comfortable glow, then lower the second shade when you need more privacy, room darkening, or UV protection. Norm’s fabric selection offers stylish colors, textures, patterns, and opacities designed to complement today’s interiors.
FABRIC OPTIONS

Norm Dual Shades are available in five fabric categories, making them easy to customize for different rooms, lighting needs, and design styles:
Roller Light Filtering Fabrics: Soften natural light while helping maintain daytime privacy and a warm, inviting feel.
Roller Room Darkening Fabrics: Provide stronger light control for bedrooms, media rooms, nurseries, and spaces where reduced light and added privacy are important.
Solar Screen Fabrics: Help reduce glare and protect furniture and flooring from UV exposure while preserving more of the outside view.
Natural Woven Fabrics: Add texture, warmth, and organic style for a softer designer look.
Sheer Fabrics: Create an airy, elegant appearance while softening outside views and allowing natural light to gently filter into the room.

OPERATION & CUSTOMIZATION

Dual Shades are available with cordless and motorized operation. For cordless shades, the standard control setup places the front shade control on the right and the back shade control on the left. For motorized shades, control/power locations may be selected, with available combinations including right/left, left/right, left/left, or right/right.
For a clean finished look, the front shade is typically reverse roll, while the back shade is standard roll. The front and back shades must use the same lift system, and motorized dual shades should use the same motor type for proper coordination.

TOP TREATMENTS & HARDWARE

Norm Dual Shades can be ordered with no valance or with an 8" fabric valance. The 8" fabric valance is the only fabric valance option available for Dual Shades, and the fabric selection must be specified. A raceway is optional when no valance is selected, and when a valance is selected, the raceway is automatically provided.
Hardware is designed to coordinate with the selected shade configuration. The raceway, raceway mounting brackets, brackets, and bracket covers will match the front shade color, while the remaining components coordinate with the front shade fabric set.

Norman® products are backed by a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and/or workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the product. Please see below to obtain warranty service and be informed of certain exceptions to the warranty.*
TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE:
Warranty claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase as well as details regarding the nature of the problem. To obtain warranty service, please contact your servicing retailer.
Repair or remake of defective products is the sole remedy under this warranty and in no event shall Norman or its licensed distributors or retailers be liable for costs to remove and/or reinstall the product. Repairs will be made with only like or similar parts. This warranty does not include shipping charges, costs of labor for measuring, installation, or trip charges.
EXCEPTIONS:
This warranty does not cover any conditions caused by normal wear and tear, unauthorized repairs, accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, exposure to the elements, excessive humidity, fading, failure to follow instructions for measurement, installation, cleaning or maintenance.
Discoloration or fading, chipping or cracking, caused by exposure to the elements (sun, moisture, water) is normal on paints, stains, OSMO or other natural plant-based finish designated as Premium Colors, and textiles and they are warrantied for 3 years. (Exception: Woodlore® and Monterey™ Shutters are under warranty for lifetime.) Motorized components are under warranty for 5 years. Cords are under warranty for 7 years against fraying. San Clemente Blinds & Honeycomb Shades are warrantied for 3 years. Commercial/contract orders are excluded from this warranty.
This warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other obligations, liabilities or warranties. All other warranties, both expressed and implied, are explicitly disclaimed. In no event shall Norman Window Fashions® or Norman® distributors/ retailers be liable or responsible for incidental or consequential damages, or for any other direct or indirect damage, loss, cost, expense or fee. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, or incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to your state.
